Here you can find some of the featured video clips taken by our students, faithful audiences and music-lovers alike! =)

Some of these videos capture the moments that are etched somewhere in our history, and in the "Lîla" inside all of us. They are also testimonials of our students who have come from zero musical background - all of whom are slowly realizing the Lîla philosophy: Putting rhythms back into lives  =)

See more clips in our "Links" section.

Lîla Drums Orchestra in July 2008, now known as Fanka Fellas =)

Their usual gigging spot used to be at Blujaz Cafe, one of the most unique hangouts in Singapore. Even Grandmaster Mamady Keita will say "Yes" to that! =)

Lîla Drums Ensemble E-mail

Lîla Drums Ensemble performs at Race Against Cancer in August 2009.

The ensemble is formed entirely by students of Lîla Drums, some of whom have been with us since Day 1 =) Led by Su and Bing from Fanka Fellas.

Thanks to Farah and Aisyah for taking this video!

Lîla Drums Ensemble's inaugural performance at Love The World Cafe on 26 July 2009! =) Thanks to William for taking this and Kit for ripping!

Members of the ensemble are all certified with minimum Grade 5 in Djembe by Kelvin Kew, Director of Lîla Drums and Tam Tam Mandingue Singapore. Those guys are living testimonials to what Lîla believes - anyone can drum =)

They range from the young workforce to retirees, from the U.S. to Philippines to Singapore. People say that Music unites and it is the international language. We believe it is true =)

The Players' Jam E-mail

The Players' Drum Jam is an effort led by Kelvin Kew, Director of Lîla Drums and Tam Tam Mandingue Singapore. The idea is simply to gather drummers and rhythm enthusiasts and jam in a way that we know how, regardless of culture, race, language or religion. A sincere congregation of Players celebrating Music with Love and an open heart.

We are blessed to have fantastic drummers from a variety of bands and drumming groups in Singapore to groove to The Players' Jam =)

Mamady Keita Workshops E-mail

Grandmaster Mamady Keita performs his famous Djembe Kan with Monette Marino Keita at the end of the Mamady workshop series held by Lîla Drums in 2008.

Mamady continues to inspire players from all around the world and we look forward to hosting him in the many more years to come =)

Thanks to Joseph for the video, who travelled all the way from India just to attend the workshops =)
